Waves of Doubt

Waves of doubt

Why do waves of doubt

plague this mind

Make it wander

in dark dungeons

of my false identities,

Waves of doubt

drown the voices

of the part of me

that is eternal

An endless war

between the real

and unreal

But, to win the war

I know I must surrender

to the waves of life

you send forth each day

And I must trust

that the waves you send

lead me to the eternal shore

that blooms with flowers

Of your eternal love

O Govinda!

I give this life to you

as I rebuild my faith

and swim with grace

in the waves you send-

choppy or calm

for they wash away

the demons within

so the golden me

can shine its way through

to the ocean of Your name.
