Lessons from the Chataka

To a broken heart, I know Surrender isn’t easy but there’s a lesson to learn from a little messenger of strength- The sweet chataka bird- for she flies high, free of worldly concern to the very source of nectar; And in face of thundering times, She still flies, With wings of faith, To these rainclouds of mercy for she knows- They are her very source of life. So you see, Surrender isn’t easy for you have broken wings, reflections of your broken faith. But when you mend these wings, with the soothing balm of devotion you’ll truly see Your only source of life, Is the moon faced Gaura. And then you’ll fly too, Just like the chataka bird, high and free to the ocean of nectar that lays in your very wait. And soon all the pain, will be nothing but- A wrinkle in time.
